Abstract submission guidelines

The deadline for abstract submissions (14 May) has now passed and online submission is closed.

If you would like to submit a late breaking abstract, or have an enquiry regarding an exisiting abstract, please email congress@immunology.org.



Selected accepted poster abstracts may also be asked to present as a flash poster (one slide/one minute presentation) or short oral in addition to their poster presentation.

Abstracts of a maximum of 300 words without graphics, pictures or tables should be submitted online by 14 May 2018

Please read the information below carefully before submitting your abstract.  

  • Topics/sessions: Authors are required to choose which topic and session corresponds best with the abstract they are submitting.
  • Title: The title of the abstract should be a maximum of 150 characters.
  • Abstract text: Abstracts must be structured (background, methods, results) and no more than 300 words excluding the title and author/s names.
  • Abstract text: Abstracts must be structured (background, methods, results) and no more than 300 words excluding the title and author/s names.Use standard abbreviations and place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word appears. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.
  • Authors: The submitting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission. Abstract submissions must include the names of the presenting author, all co-authors and organisations. These details are not included in the 300-word count.

Review process

All abstracts will be reviewed by the programme committee and successful applicants will be chosen based on originality and scientific quality of the work. The reviewing process will commence once the abstract submission deadline has passed. This will take several weeks after which submitting authors will be notified of the abstract status.
